Wild
Despite its small size, Sri Lanka has one of the highest endemic species in the world, whether plant or animal, and is one of the top five biodiversity hotspots in the world. Among Sri Lanka’s 91 species of mammals, Asian elephants, sloth bears, leopards, sambar and wild buffalo attract the attention of nature lovers. However, according to the IUCN description, Sri Lanka’s rarest mammals are the red slender loris, the toque macaque and the purple langur, which are endangered due to habitat loss.
Pristine
With nearly 1,600 kilometers of palm-fringed coastline encircling the country, Sri Lanka is an ideal destination for beach lovers around the world. Whether windsurfing, kayaking, sailing, water skiing, scuba diving or just lounging in a perfect tan, Sri Lanka has it all. With two monsoon winds that bring rain to two corners of the country at different times, Sri Lanka’s beach holidays are a year-round prospect. From November to March, northeasterly winds clear the southwest coast and calm the seas. Southwesterly winds calm the east coast seas and the sun shines brightly incessantly.

Scenic
Despite being a relatively small island, Sri Lanka is blessed with diverse landscapes, climates and natural features. Sri Lanka’s infamous beaches have been attracting tourists for years. However, the rest of the island offers more idyllic scenery.
The central highlands are covered with emerald green tea plantations dotted with occasional waterfalls. Cool weather, misty views and picturesque bungalows on site are reminiscent of a bygone era.

Existence

Sri Lankan food is like no other. Filled with fragrant spices and vibrant colors, Sri Lankan cuisine is happy, warm and satisfying. For native Sri Lankans, nothing beats hearty rice and curries. Most Sri Lankans insist on carrying a jar of homemade curry or spices with them when traveling abroad.

Bliss
Ayurveda, the country’s indigenous healing system, has been perfected for over 5,000 years. Based on herbs and diet, it was the only cure in the region until the introduction of Western medicine in the 19th century.
Meditation plays a big role in maintaining perfect mental health. Buddhist meditation primarily deals with three things: correct mindfulness, correct concentration, and correct vision, the eight sacred attacks.
